What's in a Name?
Like Shakespeare said, "what's in a name?" Poplar derives its name from the poplar tree, one of the fastest-growing trees in the world. Much like a poplar tree, the students our teachers serve make quick, sizeable, and foundational growth. Unlike other fast-growing trees, the root system of a poplar tree grows to two to three times the size of the height, while remaining non-invasive just as our students develop mastery of the skills necessary for admission to their best-fit college.
